Fragmented letters

The sequence of bullfighting paintings would mark a change in Lucas’ artwork, not in its form but in the lines that emerge from the central composition of the paintings. The red geometrical shape is a work of art in its own right because the man who paints it conveys his deepest self in a secret language. A piece of his heart and his soul remains forever inscribed on the canvas… Fragmented writing is a part of the secret, in the same way as the abstract red shape.
